Eden can be acquired once you have defeated bahamut . Eden is drawn from Ultima Weapon at the bottom of the deep sea research centre. Many Final Fantasy VIII players have trouble with Ultima Weapon so make sure you have a good juntion setup: full life, triple, ultima (optional), meltdown etc. Draw Eden from Ultima Weapon then cast meltdown. I usually draw 300 ultima out of him here so feel free to do so if Ultima Weapon is not destroying you. Once Ultima Weapon is defeated you will get 100 ultima stones (unless you already mugged him for a three stars) and Eden’s card.
An alternative way to get Eden is to wait till disk 4 then draw Eden from one of Ultemecia’s minions, Tiamat on top of the clock tower.
